From Marseille, Aix, and Gap:
- Take the A51 highway toward Gap.
- Take the La Saulce Gap exit, then follow the N85 and D944 toward Orcières.
- Orcières Merlette is 56 km from the highway exit.
From Grenoble to Lyon:
- Take the A43 highway toward Grenoble.
- Take the Vizille exit, then follow the D944 toward Gap and Orcières.
- Orcières Merlette is 120 km from the highway exit.
Winter Safety Precautions
In case of snow, snow chains may be required on the access road to the resort. Be sure to bring them along.
By train
- Gap Train Station (TER): the closest one, 45 minutes from the resort.
- Grenoble (TGV) Station: Take the TER train to Gap, then the shuttle bus.
- Aix-en-Provence Train Station (TGV): a convenient option from the south.
Departmental roads connect the Gap train station to the Orcières Merlette resort. For information and schedules, contact the Orcières Tourist Office.
By plane
- Marseille Provence Airport (2 hours 30 minutes, 220 km): Seasonal “Navettes Blanches” shuttles provide direct service from the airport to Orcières Merlette.
- Grenoble Isère Airport (3 hours, 160 km): Regular bus service to the resort; reservations required.
